I have been totally impressed with VivoTech, management and the technical skills of the support technicians. They helped me learn how to use their systems for setting up the domain, the subdomains, the databases, email and Internet connections. Most of it is quite intuitive, but on occasion, I submitted a question to their Chat portal. They respond in just a few minutes and answered my questions in a technically competent and professional manner. While, Hostek, on the other hand, would make me wait up to 48 hours before they even acknowledged my request for assistance. It wasn't always this bad, but that is how it has become in the past couple of years. Unacceptable. I had the Coldfusion Reseller shared server plan at Hostek, They limited my domains to 8, and said to add more would double my monthly cost. So I ended up having an extra amount of subdomains. At VivioTech, I can have as many domains and subdomains as I wish, no extra charges. So cool. The VivioTech server I use runs Lucee, instead of Coldfusion. I found there is very little difference between them. Lucee likes all dates formatted, and it is case-sensitive because the server is Linux, not Windows. No real problems. I don't use custom tags or advanced Adobe features. So my migrations went pretty smooth. One thing I did learn is that when I changed the nameservers for my domains, the domain had to be set up in the VivioTech cPanel ahead of time, or the propagation time could be 72 hours or more. But if I set up the domain first, it only took a few hours for the propagation. It took a while, but now have all of my sites up and running at VivioTech. I could not be happier. They run fast, and no downtime yet. I love the 3 minute 24/7 response for support. Soooooo much better than Hostek. If you make the decision to use VivioTech as your hosting company, I am 100% convinced that you will have a good experience, and get more value than any other hosting company out there.
