I have been a loyal client to the hosting service just because they have the most amazing support staff I have every interacted with. I have had hosting subscriptions with other well known providers such as Hostgator (they are the most terrible by far!), but the prompt resolution provided by bravenet support team is un-paralleled. Most courteous in their response. Especial vote of thanks to Mr. Tim - Director of customer service, who has always been most cooperative.
I have a very good experience with the support team. I was having a problem with getting my database setup and uploading. I received a quick response, I would like to recommend bravenet to others also I find Big Rock, Domain Racer, and In motion good in terms of support.
I been with bravehost since 2007, I love its easy to use. However, their servers have became terrible slow over the years, and I can't transfer any files to my site using ftp. The ftp server keeps closing doing file transfer, I email support many times and they kept telling me things I already know is not the issue. They complaint about having to fight off dos attacks which I had to wait hours to use ftp.
Then they change my ftp username without letting me know and act as if I didn't know my own username when I contacted support. I can't run a business site like this, I don't have time to upload one file at a time. Ftp still not working and works whenever it wants to, then disconnects whenever it wants to. I need the ftp to work. Hate to leave but enough is enough...
You do know that they don't control ftp right? Its filezilla and if there's an issue then its there. I just transferred website information that's been sitting there since 2013, but, I've been paying my pro fees so my information will not go anywhere while I continue to do that.
I've used Bravenet for well over 15 years now. I've punished their servers by building crazily resource intensive code and they've never been anything but courteous and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending their product, customer service and dependability
horrible in all aspects. and lastly they modified the page they put pictures of spaghetti dishes over my information, I had to close that website urgently, where is the protection of the bravenet clients?
Absolutely horrible--'Unlimited Bandwidth' is a complete lie
Bravenet advertises 'unlimited bandwidth' but this is a lie. Unknownst to the user, they put what they call 'soft limits' on your bandwidth usage, so if you go over that they will, without notice, take your sites down for being 'over bandwidth'. You have to contact them (via online support ticket--there is no 'live' help, telephone number, etc) and have them fix your sites. Even then (if you can finally get a response from anyone), all they do is make sure you're not 'abusing' (their mysterious determination) and then increase your 'soft limit' incrementally. So next month you may go over again, they shut your sites down, you have to contact them again, etc. Bravenet's 'unlimited bandwidth' is a lie and the company is a clown show. I was a customer for 15+ years but finally got tired of their excuses, lies and abuse. Good riddance.
I have been using Bravenet now for several years and can only say I am very satisfied. They have allowed me to create some professional looking websites very quickly using their Hosting Pro package for $100/year and their ready templates.
About four years ago, I searched the web for a hosting service and after trying several, I hit upon Bravenet and ultimate had three simultaneous sites with them for about three years but had to give up my sites when I was hospitalized. Now that I recovered and fit, I am back with Bravenet, I still think they are the best especially for someone who writes their own code, No convoluted and limited editors to deal with and full access to your sites almost 24/7 with little down time. I can construct my site on my laptop and easily upload it to my site at Bravenet. What can I say: I am a fan of the service.
